It all started with a single pair of shoes, innocently strung up on a fence in the Hunter.

15 years on, there are more than a thousand pairs – of all shapes, brands and sizes.

It’s a peculiar tourist attraction, but as the saying goes, “if the shoe fits, wear it.”
