POLICE SIEZE $8 MILLION OF CANNABIS NEAR MUSWELLBROOK
Two men have been charged after police dismantled a dozen large-scale industrial grow houses and found around $8 million worth of cannabis in the Hunter yesterday.
After extensive investigations, Strike Force Harthouse detectives searched a property on the Golden Highway at Gungal, south-east of Muswellbrook, from 9am yesterday.
During the search, they found more than 2,600 cannabis plants and equipment consistent with the cultivation of cannabis.
Two Sydney men, aged 24 and 29, were arrested at the property and taken to Muswellbrook Police Station.
They were both charged with cultivating a prohibited plant in a large commercial quantity.
The men will appear at Muswellbrook Local Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
