A man is recovering in hospital with serious injuries after a car crash in the Hunter this morning.
Emergency services were notified of the incident at Pokolbin, just after 6.30am.
It’s understood the 51-year-old driver lost control of the car, veering off the road, crashing into a fence and a ditch.
The man was trapped in the vehicle when paramedics and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter arrived, but was eventually cut free.
He was flown to John Hunter Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
