77-YEAR-OLD REUNITED WITH HER HANDBAG TWO DECADES AFTER IT WAS STOLEN

A 77-year-old Evans Head woman has been reunited with her handbag – more than two decades after it was stolen from inside her vehicle.

The bag, containing jewellery and credit cards, was found in bushland at South Evans Head earlier this week before the two Good Samaritans handed it into police.

Surprisingly, officers had little trouble tracking down the rightful owner, who says she’s ‘very grateful’.
