NEW RESTRICTIONS FOR COMMUNITY SPORT FROM AUGUST 19

New South Wales has announced tighter restrictions for community sport across the state, starting tomorrow (August 19).
Activities that result in the mixing of players and staff from different regions will be prohibited, including zone, regional and state championships.
For local activities, spectators will be limited to one parent, where a child requires parental supervision.
Activities involving overnight stays must also cease, due to increased risk of COVID-19 transmission in residential settings with shared facilities
Face-to-face social activities like award ceremonies and other social gatherings will also be banned, and people are also advised to avoid carpools or bus travel with people from different household groups.
Community sports organisations must also have a COVID-19 safety plan in place, and ensure they remain fully compliant with the plan.
