Tributes are flowing after the death of former teacher and Richmond Valley mayor, Charlie Cox.
Charlie served the community as a local councillor for 14 years – eight of those as mayor.
Mr Cox was also heavily involved in the Evans Head-Casino Surf Life Saving Club.
He passed away on Thursday night.
Charlie was aged 80.
