ADRIAN BUCHAN CLAIMS WSL’S INAUGURAL OCEAN ADVOCACY AWARD

Avoca Beach surfer, Adrian Buchan has been recognised for his environmental activism.

The World Surf League awarded the Championship Tour veteran its inaugural ‘Ocean Advocacy’ honour.

Buchan says the award’s got a place next to his spear from the Tahiti Pro, while his $25,000 prize will be donated to the Climate Council.

It follows Ace’s efforts to raise thousands of dollars for wildlife recovery efforts following the state’s bushfire crisis.
