NEWCASTLE RESEARCHER AWARDED FOR CANCER THERAPEUTIC STRATEGIES

A Newcastle researcher has been recognised for his efforts to improve cancer survival rates, earning a Young Tall Poppy Science Award from the Australian Institute of Policy and Science.
Dr Matt Dun has been deeply affected by the disease himself, losing his daughter to DIPG brain cancer last year.
His recent work on therapeutic strategies will soon move into clinical trials.
