LOCAL HOSPITAL LEFT DOCTORLESS LAST WEEK DUE TO QLD-NSW BORDER BUBBLE

The head of the local health district has confirmed a Northern Rivers hospital was left without a doctor for a whole night last week, due to the hard border closure.

He says the border bubble has put health workers in an extremely difficult situation, but negotiations with the Queensland government are ongoing.
