Police are investigating the death of a three-month-old girl in Newcastle last week.
About 10:40am on Tuesday August 4, emergency services were called to a unit on Fowler Street, Hamilton South, after a baby was found unresponsive.
The child was rushed to John Hunter Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Newcastle detectives establish a crime scene where a forensic team inspected the apartment.
A post mortem has been conducted and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
