ORGAN DONATION PROCESS RETURNS TO NORMAL

The family of a Hunter man whose organs couldn’t be donated when he died earlier this year is calling for more options, should COVID-19 restrictions increase again.
Steve Frith from Raymond Terrace passed away in May, and due to rules at the time, only his corneas could be donated.
“My belief is testing should have been done, particularly for a priority like that, on the spot, fast-tracked results, and save lives.” – John Chambers, Friend.
Hunter New England Health says the organ donation process has since returned to normal.
