POSSIBLE JAIL TERM FOR GRAFFITI OFFENDER

A 20-year-old man may face a jail term after pleading guilty to graffiting Lismore property in May.

Duncan David Munro appeared before Lismore Court today, charged with four counts of defacing property at several locations around Lismore including the Centro shopping centre and Conservatorium.

Accepting Munro’s guilty plea, the magistrate said such behaviour needs to stop, and he was considering jail-time rather than a fine.

The case was ajourned until August so the accused can contact the victims and offer to clean up the graffiti.
