Enjoying the views from Tacking Point Lighthouse will soon be a lot safer, thanks to a new 52-metre boardwalk.
The $100,000 concrete walk way is a joint project between Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and the Rotary Club of Port Macquarie Sunrise.
The Lighthouse Project Committee says sightseers are currently forced to share a narrow stretch of road with cars.
“It’ll provide much safer walking pathway for people who, local residents particularly and other people who are walking to the site”
The boardwalk should be complete in four weeks time.
