Additional funding has been secured for a new waterpark in Tuncurry, with MidCoast Council unveiling its plans today.
The federal government is contributing $400,000 towards the construction of the $1.5-million park.
It will replace the Tuncurry pools and feature a barbecue and picnic area.
Community consultation begins next month, with a date for construction yet to be set.
