GOOD FIGURE FOR WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP

18 months after the world rally championship round in Coffs Harbour, its impact on the local economy has been released.
It’s said to have injected more than $14-million into local businesses, and attracted around 13,000 people to the area.
The race also promoted the region internationally, gaining four hours of television coverage – reaching an audience of 56-million people world wide.
With a world rally event returning to Coffs Harbour in September, council are now looking at ways to build on the promotional and economic benefits.
