Singleton Council has closed the tip this morning and sent staff home, believing an employee had been in contact with someone who’s tested positive to COVID-19.
It says the facility will be deep-cleaned.
Kerbside collections will continue as normal.
Due to possible contact by a staff member with a person who has tested positive to COVID-19 in a personal circumstance, Council has made the decision to close the Waste Management Facility effective immediately.
