Police are calling for the public’s help after an 81-year-old woman was carjacked in Armidale.
At about 1.15pm yesterday, an unknown man approached her as she was getting out of the vehicle on Holmes Avenue.
He allegedly demanded she hand over the keys, allowing her to take her dogs and phone and flee the scene.
The car was later found abandoned on Long Swamp Road.
The woman wasn’t injured in the incident.
Her attacker is described as being of a tanned complexion, in his mid teens, 165 centimetres tall with a slim build.
He was wearing cream shorts, a light shirt with a light coloured jumper tied around his neck, dark shoes and a hat with writing on it.
