HIT AND RUN AT TUMBI UMBI

Police are hunting a driver, involved in a hit and run at Tumbi Umbi this morning.

An elderly woman was struck by a blue Toyota Camry on Chapel Lane at around 9 o’clock, but the car sped off.

The 72-year-old was flown to John Hunter Hospital with suspected hip injuries.

She’s in a serious-but-stable condition.
