PUNTERS TO RETURN TO NEWCASTLE RACECOURSE

Racegoers will have their first chance in months to experience the excitement of race day again, thanks to the easing of restrictions.

Racecourses are allowed 25% of their normal seated capacity, up to a maximum of 10,000 people.

Newcastle Racecourse will welcome back their first punters this weekend.

Initially scheduled earlier this year, the Community PINK Race Day is to be held at Saturday’s meeting.

The race day raises funds for the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.

Owners, members and the general public will be required to pre-purchase hospitality packages or general admission tickets for the 8 race card.

For those unable to attend, the racecourse is giving everyone a chance to show their support by making a donation or enjoying a race day at home by purchasing a special PINK Gourmet Hamper.

For every hamper sold $30 will be donated to the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.

Details on how to pre-purchase hospitality or general admission tickets can be found on the Newcastle Racecourse website.
