NSW LABOR CALLS FOR A PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL IN MEDOWIE

Labor has called for Medowie to get a public high school, saying it would help stimulate the economy and create local jobs during the pandemic.
1,000 students are currently being bussed out of the suburb to attend school – and local MP Kate Washington says it’s only going to get worse.
“We’ve got two primary schools in Medowie that are over capacity, we’ve got both the high schools over capacity – there is an urgent need for a public high school here.”
A site on Ferodale Road has been earmarked for a high school since 1983.
