MAYOR RARING TO KEEP TOP JOB

Coffs Harbour’s Mayor has launched her bid for re-election to the city’s top job.

Councillor Denise Knight is heading a ticket of eight candidates for the September 10 Local Government elections.

The team, which includes five women, will campaign under the banner, ‘Best For Coffs’.

“Well we wanted to give the whole region some diversity and balance. Its a big team, but it means that there are places around the region now, that will have quite a strong voice.”

Ms Knight is expected to be one of eight to contest the role of mayor.
