NEWCASTLE LIBRARIES RE-OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Newcastle and Wallsend libraries opened their doors this morning for the first time since March today.
“We are very happy to be back and with our community, it felt like a long time, but we’ve been very busy, we’ve been doing a lot of online programming, a lot of training.” – Suzie Gately, Library Manager.
The libraries are running a new, express program… which is a back to basics approach, including limiting use of PCs and wifi to 30 minutes, asking people to use self serve, and wipe things down.
Meanwhile, Newcastle Museum remains closed to the public while the council develops a plan for its reopening.
