Police are on the hunt for a man and woman, after a police car was rammed on the Pacific Highway, near Bangalow yesterday afternoon.
A Highway Patrol officer stopped a white Toyota Hilux on the highway at about 4.30, when he was told by the male driver that the heavily-pregnant passenger was having contractions.
The officer went to call an ambulance when the driver of the ute reversed into the police car and drove off.
The officer was not injured.
Police later found the vehicle burnt out at Hayters Hill Nature Reserve.
It’s believed the incident is linked to a break-in at a nearby house house, earlier that day.
