Whale watching cruises will start back up this weekend, just in time for the migration season.
Nova Cruises will begin with 10 passengers, then go up to 25 as restrictions ease further on Monday.
“We’ve been very busy still, doing a lot of maintenance and upgrades across our boats here in Newcastle and on Lake Macquarie.” – Peter Hanrahan, Nova Cruises.
“We’ve already seen 300 odd sightings already along the New South Wales coast, and that’s still pretty early for the season.” – Dominic May, Coast XP.
Up to 35,000 whales are expected to make their way past our coast this year – numbers not seen in decades.
