There’s been no new cases of coronavirus uncovered in the North West despite a widespread testing blitz in the Tamworth and Armidale areas.
More than 4 thousand tests were conducted in a three week period.
“It’s good to get this snapshot and to prove that the virus is currently not in our community. But it’s far to early to become complacent.”
Despite the promising results, Hunter New England Health says anyone with flu like symptoms should undergo a COVID-19 test.
