$10 MILLION FOR NEWELL HIGHWAY

$10 million will be spent on the Newell Highway to improve transport and freight links throughout regional New South Wales.

The joint state and federal funding will be used to build new overtaking lanes North of Moree, North of Parkes and two North of Jerilderie.

These new lanes are in addition to those currently being built between Moree and Narrabri.

Minister for Western New South Wales Kevin Humphries, hopes the lanes will help cut down travel time and improve road safety for motorists.
