CENTRAL COAST WOMAN SUFFERS SERIOUS BURNS AFTER FIRE PIT ACCIDENT

A Budgewoi woman was placed in an induced coma and put on life support after being severely burnt on Saturday night.
Initial investigations suggest an accelerant was placed onto a fire pit, but it came into contact with the 51-year-old who was in close proximity to the fire.
Local paramedics responded and began treating the woman’s serious facial and chest burns.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called and the critical care medical team placed the female into an induced coma before being flown to Royal North Shore Hospital.
She remains in a critical condition.
