As we come into the cooler months of the year, Northern Rivers residents are being reminded to keep an eye out for the charismatic echidna.
This little guy was spotted along North Kingscliff Beach, rolling around in the surf this morning.
He was inundated by the salty water but kept going back for more.
Motorists are being urged to look out for the Australian native, particularly between dusk and dawn.
