MAN CHARGED WITH HIGH RANGE DRINK DRIVING AT FORSTER

A 48-year-old man will face Forster Local Court next month, after he was caught almost four times the legal limit and driving with an expired licence at the weekend.
Officers stopped a Toyota RAV 4 on The Lakes Way at Forster on Sunday afternoon, with a breath test returning an alleged reading of 0.196.
Further checks revealed the man’s licence had expired.
Across the state, almost 240,000 drivers have been breath tested since Wednesday last week, with just over 250 charged with drink driving offences.
4643 people were charged with speeding offences.
