Investigations are underway after police seized firearms and ammunition from a property near Nundle earlier this week.
Officers conducted a search at a home in Hanging Rock, just before 10am on Thursday.
They proceeded to locate three unsecured rifles and a large amount of ammunition.
Charges are expected to be laid in coming days.
