Work is already underway on the notorious Failford Road intersection on the Pacific Highway – now an additional $1.5-million has been added to make it even safer.
The state government funding will be spent on an acceleration lane, allowing traffic from Failford to match highway speeds more easily.
It complements the $1.6-million slip lane for traffic exiting the Pacific Highway.
The project should be complete by October.
