KOOTINGAL COMMUNITY RAISES $6,600 FOR HOUSEFIRE VICTIMS

A community fundraising effort for a Kootingal woman whose house was destroyed by fire has exceeded its $4,000 goal.

Kootingal residents banded together for musician Lizzie Steadman, after the fire earlier this week.

Ms Steadman and her 10-year-old son weren’t home when their Gill Street property caught alight on Monday afternoon, sadly they lost all their possessions.

A GoFundMe page was set up to assist the pair, more than $6,000 has been donated.
