MAN JAILED OVER CASINO HIGH SCHOOL FIRE

A man who deliberately set fire to Casino High School in 2018 has been sentenced to six years and nine months in jail.
24-year-old Aden Newman pleaded guilty to stealing $60,000 worth of property from the school and lighting the fire.
The blaze caused an estimated one-million-dollars worth of damage to the administration shed, sports shed, canteen and change rooms.
Newman will be eligible for parole in December 2022.
