COUNCIL APPROVES OVER-50’S VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT AT LONGYARD GOLF COURSE

The first steps have been taken to turn Tamworth’s Longyard golf course into a tourist hot-spot.
Project Developer, John O’Rourke, has received the green-light to progress with plans to construct an over-50’s village at the site.
It comes after Tamworth Regional Council lost a New South Wales Land and Environment appeal against the project last year.
Since then, amendments have been made to the proposal, with the project passing council on Tuesday.
It’s understood the course itself will be unchanged, with golf club staff to manage the village.
