TWEED ON TRACK FOR LIGHT RAIL FOLLOWING STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Light rail in the Northern Rivers is a step closer, with the state government announcing a $1-million study to find a suitable 5km corridor from Coolangatta to the Tweed.
It’s hoped the project would eventually link to the Gold Coast light rail network.
Planning is already underway for the section from Burleigh Heads down to the New South Wales border.
