A Port Macquarie man is planning to indulge in a “cupcake and some ginger beer”, to celebrate winning $100,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
As well as winning the 1st Prize, the man also won a consolation prize, boosting his total win to $101,000.
The winner told the lotto official “I love you to death” when they called him this morning, going on to say he couldn’t think of a better way to end the working week.
“You are kidding me!” he laughed.
“Mate I have been waiting for this day.
“This is awesome! I have gone all numb.
“I’ve gone through a bit of a rough time lately, so this really comes at just the perfect time.
“This is just absolutely fantastic!
“I can’t believe it! God, thank you so much.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his unexpected windfall, the elated man said he’d be using his prize to make the most of his time in self-isolation and do some renovations on his home.
“I need to do some renos on the home. It’s a good time to do them at the moment,” he admitted.
“I’ll be celebrating tonight with a cupcake and some ginger beer too!”
