RESCUE CHOPPER AIRLIFTS INJURED PASSENGER

The Westpac Rescue helicopter has flown an injured passenger from a cruise ship off the coast to Coffs Harbour Hospital.
The thirty-seven year old man had badly injured his head in a fall on the ship.
The chopper landed on the helipad aboard the Radiance of the Seas, eighty kilometres north-east of Coffs Harbour.
Westpace crewman Jethro Lampe said, “There wasn’t much pitch and roll with the ship itself so the landing was nice and smooth.”
The patient was stabilised by the helicopter’s doctor and paramedics.
