The Oxley Police District has received a welcomed boost to their frontline, with 5 fresh recruits joining the North West team.
Four of the new officers will be stationed in Tamworth, while one will be based in Gunnedah.
Superintendent Kylie Endemi says extra hands on deck, will help keep the region safe during the pandemic.
The recruits will be promoted to constables in 12 months time.
