MAN FINED FOR ALLEGEDLY SPITTING AT HOSPITAL WORKER

A man has been fined over allegedly spitting in the face of a Central Coast hospital security officer last week.

Police detained the man when they were called to a Berkeley Vale home just before midnight on April 9, after reports of a domestic violence incident.

Police were told a 25-year-old had left the home and was involved in a car crash on Laguna Avenue, before returning.

He was taken to Wyong Hospital for assessment, and while being treated, had to be restrained by police and security.

It’s alleged the man spat in the face of a 56-year-old security officer.

He was given a $5000 PIN yesterday, and inquiries continue.
