DAYLIGHT SAVING BILL INTRODUCED TO STATE PARLIAMENT

Member for Northern Tablelands, Adam Marshall, introduced a bill to State Parliament yesterday to reduce daylight saving by a month.
The Private Members Bill was introduced into the Upper House to ensure the daylight saving period would end the first Sunday in March.
The MP hopes to reverse the extension of the daylight saving period, which he says was pushed through the parliament without a mandate in 2007.
Mr Marshall says the timing remains confusing for north west communities near the Queensland border.
