WATER RESTRICTIONS TO BE LIFTED IN URALLA OVER EASTER WEEKEND

After months of water woes, restrictions in Uralla will be lifted this Easter long weekend.

Uralla Council hopes the relaxed measures will assist in flushing out any remaining arsenic from its water supply.

It means that, from midnight on Thursday to midnight on Monday, residents can resume watering their lawns or gardens and washing their cars.

A granular carbon filter was delivered to the dam two weeks ago, with decreased arsenic levels shown in recent test results.

After midnight on Monday, Uralla will return to Level 5 restrictions.
