LOCAL FISHERMEN LOSE OUT TO HUNGRY SEAL

Video has emerged of a young angler’s unexpected encounter with a seal off Swansea Heads.
15 year old Jayden Gilmore and two of his mates were fishing near Moon Island just before Christmas last year, when an inquisitive seal edged closer to their boat.
Not one to miss a feed, the seal artfully stalked its prey, waiting until the fish was hooked before swiftly stealing the catch.
It’s sure to be a fishing trip the group won’t forget in a hurry.
