Preliminary autopsy results have shown that a 27-year-old Raymond Terrace woman, whose body was found in a car boot, had been strangled.
Trisha Cobeanou was reported missing three weeks ago.
Her remains were discovered at Lambton on Monday.
Ms Cobeanou’s former lover, Marcus John Lee, has been charged with her murder and remains in custody.
