POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH OF MAN SWEPT OFF ROCKS
Police are investigating the death of a man who was swept off the rocks at Boulder Bay, Port Stephens yesterday morning.
It was just after 10am when the 32-year-old, and another man, were swept into the ocean by a wave.
Two friends who were nearby threw life jackets to the men, but only one of the men was able to grab hold.
Surf lifesavers rescued the man with the life-jacket and he was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
The body of the 32-year-old man was also found.
