MARINE RESCUE REMAINS ON DUTY

It’s business as usual for New South Wales Marine Rescue, which is one of many essential services remaining on duty, as lockdown measures are enforced across the state.

Vounteers at Lake Macquarie are urging anyone wanting to head out on the water to log their trips via the Marine Rescue app, or call their nearest base.

Boaters are also being told to switch to VHF Marine Radio, as it provides greater range, better reception and less static than 27MHz.

All upcoming boat and PWC license courses have been cancelled until further notice.
