Southern Cross University has implemented special measures to support student nurses, who may be called to join the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
SCU has announced the final theoretical component of its nursing course will be offered online.
76 students are in their final fortnight of clinical placement.
The university says the student nurses will be work-ready as soon as possible.
