BYRON BUSINESSES GRAPPLE WITH CLOSURE

Like the rest of the country, bars and cafe in Byron Bay packed up their seating areas today as they prepare for prolonged changes to their businesses.
Non-essential businesses all around the country are coming to terms with lockdown.
The news nearly unbelievable for businesses owner, Vincent Thomas, who opened Holy Crepe just one month ago.
“Now I just don’t really know what to do, like we supposed to be closed but can still do takeaway, takeaway isn’t my main activity here.”
Vincent says he’ll wont be able to cover the rent without established customers.
He also believes the Federal Government’s stimulus package is not enough.
“If we freeze rent and bills we can go through with our savings we just have to survive.”
