A man has been charged over the grooming and assault of a young girl in Northern New South Wales.
An investigation was launched after the girl allegedly received sexually explicit images through a social media application from a man who was known to her.
Police say the 22-year-old groomed and indecently assaulted the girl, then aged 10, for 11 months.
The man was taken to Yamba Police Station yesterday afternoon and charged.
He was granted bail under strict conditions in Grafton Local Court today.
