SMALL SMOKING CEREMONY HELD FOR NATIONAL CLOSE THE GAP DAY

Tamworth pledged its support to Indigenous communities today, on National Close the Gap Day.
Despite most events being cancelled, JobLink Plus hosted a small smoking ceremony to commemorate the day.
It’s all about pushing for Aboriginal Australians to have equal access to healthcare.
“You’re all one people, all my people, and you should welcome people and take them in, no matter who they are, or where they’re from.”
The ceremony was accompanied by the talents of world-class didgeridoo player Mark Atkins.
