New South Wales Work Cover is investigating the death of a Lismore electrician yesterday afternoon.
Police say the 31-year-old was doing maintenance work at Klassic Lodge at Goolmangar south of Nimbin, when he cut a conduit containing a main powerline.
Emergency services quickly responded, but had to wait until the power was switched off to help the man.
He died at the scene.
